Why does sphax lag

Totally gone with soartex, or JS, or faithful, or all 3 at once. I doubt specs are that much of an issue, given Soartex can cope at over ik and a I'm just assuming sphax is doing something special that's meaning it needs to make those world ticks so much more expensive.
